I joined NSMSES in 1964 as a TERRIER Systems Branch Head, moved to Basic Point SMS as a Division Head in 1968 & 3 years later transferred to the TERRIER/TALOS Department becoming Dept Manager in 1983.  As a result of a Station reorganization, I was assigned as Dept Manager of the TARTAR & CEC program and simultaneously assigned as Systems Engineer for the Ship Self Defense Department. I retired after 33 years of Federal Service &  38 years in the Navy's Surface Missile Systems (SMS) program. During my career, I was honored to receive the prestigious Eli T. Reich Award in 1990 & the Meritorious Civilian Service Award upon my retirement.
